Let me give you a few more other ideas,

I've come across a night effect that looks nice to your mine, here's a before-and-after comparison:

Hmmm, I have thought about it but I decided not to do so.
But I cannot really remember why, so I'll rethink it ;)

The orb in the lower left corner doesn't do anything right now,
but it is going to show how much light you have left in your belt
soon C: The button in the lower right can be used to open (or
close when opened) your inventory. Meanwhile, you can collect
30 ores before your inventory is full. This will be the absolute
maximum after a number of 'pocket upgrades' when the game is
ready. Have fun and please tell me what you think ^.^

The inventory looks good!!
Can't wait to see how you are going to light up the mine, I wonder if you plan to make belt's brightness variable?
An interesting effect could be adding dust fog escaping upwards from the mine

I think I will; the more light you have the more and the better you can see everything around you :D

Downloaded it for now, will test it at the night when I come back from mother's day visits at night, so expect my opinion by tomorrow latest. :)

Edit: Tried the game now, basically I repeated everything I did the last time around, and for starters I love that the laser is working faster now, plus it looks alot better. The size of the light circle on the left is good, maybe you could add a fireish effect as in low fire is blueish but the hotter it is it goes from yellow to red? Well something similar but in light terms, maybe a very intense yellow and as it emptied itself it also becomes less intense until in the very last its pale. The inventory is working great and I managed to find at least one of each of them so basically everything is working good, I like the direction its taking. :)

Sorry that I can't think of anything else at the moment, I'm glad kilele has been much more helpful than I have been. :P

I will think about the light circle in the lower left corner... I am also
thinking about making it more animated... about making the fluid
really look like fluid by making it go up and down in waves a bit C:

Well, it's supposed to be a trampoline. I was wondering
whether I should keep the original shape of the ores/gems
in the actual buildable structures, but I guess not, haha :lol:

Guess not...its really confusing as you could notice. :P

The ores could still define the color of the buildable structures though.

Haha. I am afraid I am sticking with taking my inspiration from the

maybe something simpler? that forms part of the rocks, like molten rock material which is the same as the regular soil but hotter, reddish and more elastic so that the miner uses it as a trampoline

edit 1:
you could also use it to light up the mine, the more you jump onto the magma trampoline the more it gives off red light and heat
