Adventure Quest Worlds (AQW)

Postby LichLord » Mon Feb 27, 2012 1:54 am

I noticed a couple of people in this forums play this game and eventually even asked Cheesecake if it was any good and ended up trying it out myself, and I must admit for a browser game its a pretty good game. Variety of classes to play with, armors are just cosmetic because their stats depend solely on your base classes and the enhancements they armor's have so you don't have to worry about having the best armor/weapons out, just on looking however YOU choose to look like and then slap in the right enhancements depending on your playstyle. Oh and you get to choose between being good and evil, which to some it doesn't matter and all but others like me find being able to actually be on the evil side a nice plus to the game. Of course all this is possible because they have one new common enemy now that causes them to be in a truce temporarily to be able to fight against it, which is Chaos. The story itself is interesting and full of sarcastic humor, with alot of parody cameos of even more stuff that I could think about, adding a comedy factor to the game that is welcomed instead of just boring text that you skip at times.

So, now instead of talking about AQW in other areas of the forum, you now have this topic here to further discuss everything about the game so you don't have to mention AQW elsewhere in the forum anymore. Have fun discussing!

And for those curious my name there is "Evil Lich Lord" (Lich Lord was taken...), feel free to pm me to meet up and add each other if interested in doing so.

I tried it and really got bored instantly. All the other Artix games are much better IMO.

I haven't tried any of the others personally, since to start with their just single-player rpg's and that didn't really catch my attention. You who have actually tried them however, which one would you recommend, specifically between Adventure Quest, Dragon Fable and Mech Quest since those 3 seem to be the main single player RPG's.

Between those, MechQuest first, then WarpForce (link all of them to your Artix account if you have one), then the other two.

Weird...I usually see people ranking MechQuest third/last. WarpForce is the new one right? I didn't include it since I'm not even sure where it fits in all this I just heard about it randomly at times. Now that I checked it out apparently its AQ in a distant future, like how mechquest supposed to go 5k years to the past. I don't know if I would try any, but for now the only one that would grab my attention is Dragon Fable because you get to adopt and raise your own dragon, or so I read.

on what server do you guys always play? We should stick to one server so we can actually meet with each other from time to time, I will attempt to add both until I see you guys online, while I'm online of course.

I had always played on Artix because even though Cysero is the fullest one all the time its also full of afk'ers that just clog up and do nothing, and most of the dramating people go there for drama, so Artix is full enough for me without that. I'll pass by Cysero to see if I find you guys around then. Btw Dragon its sad that most of darkovia reputation shops are member only, would be nice if you had the cooler lycan stuff, vampire ones look awesome as well. And THM I soooo want necromancer but I don't want to skip story phases either so I'm just trying to reach doomwood in storyline as fast as I can, and btw are the Friday the 13th and ctrl+alt+del achievements just events from the past that won't repeat, or does every Friday 13th for example the event repeats itself?

IMO necromancer is the best (for non-mem), seriously it can solo any boss (except the impossible ones...) just by spamming the second skill :P

Ctrl-Alt-Del was a one-time-only event, though I think you may be able go get into the area if you find the name of the area. If you didnt know already, you can go to places without finding them on the map. Ex: going to battleon, type: /goto battleon
in the chat bar.
Friday the 13th is around every friday the 13th, though I dont think they repeat themselfves... though I do know one of the friday the 13th events is now a ember-only location on the map.

Eh, another event I missed then. And yeah I know you can go to places that way, usually its my main way of moving haha, especially when farming reputation, just copy/paste the location your farming like /join castleundead-5000 for evil rep doing Bone-afide quest againd and again. So I at least can have the hope that next "Friday 13th" I may be able to play that event? I did manage to do the valentines one completely when they repeated it again even with the new cursed love additions from underworld so maybe they do repeat this one as well.

It wasn't really out for one day. If you had Cysero's Cheeseburger it automatically turned into the Darkside class (awesome btw)

How did you obtain Cysero's Cheeseburger anyways? Was it members only or an event/something else?
