That does sound like an interesting idea. Your own towers would shoot down your soldiers unless you clicked them fast enough.

I would prefer that you were forced to kill the boss as fast as possible or sell the mad towers to avoid their attack

Breakable towers that you were forced to sell would make a very different game and, I suspect, make the game less fun.

If you would implement a boss which can convert your towers to fight for him,
you should not be restrained to sell those as long as they are not converted.
I think it could make up for much strategy, as long as those towers would stop
being converted when he is out of a certain range again. That way you would
have to make a choice for all of your towers, between no tower at all or a tower
that can attack both its enemies and it allies for a while. Of course, it would be
smart to keep towers with a longe range attack this way... but I am sure it
would be very interesting. I don't really see what it has to do with 'being breakable'.

you might be right and all this should be considered and tested by the developers, but imagine a huge boss coming closer to several arcane towers supported by paladins blocking a swarm of trolls, you know that your towers won't go nuts as long as the boss doesn't reach them, if that's the case you don't know if your other towers will be able to face the swarm if all the paladins fall, so you'd better use some paladins to stop the boss but wait...that could make the trolls pass through...in fact i had this idea thinking of Coldstep Mines ;)
if you knew that towers get healed just by clicking on them, this kind of bosses may not could provoke as much terror as they advance on your towers, besides it could be fun having a zone affected by lunacy while they are alive, on which you could only build different towers immune to black magic, well i don't know..maybe the click thing is fine and could work here better than selling towers

I don't play this game for terror. I play this game for the awesome fun of killing pretty visually distinct enemies with cute looking and sounding towers while trying to work out what setup is best for whatever enemies happen to be coming. I'd prefer they extend existing mechanics in interesting ways that try to provoke terror in us, a radical change in themes.

What i can imagine happening is that this boss gets quite close to the end, is killed, and then all the minions he summoned (coldstep mines, so lots of yetis which can soak up huge punishment and snow wolves and trolls as you said) walk through your defences and make a very frustrating end.

What if the Neuromancer only affects some towers? Like, maybe, the Paladins are too pure for him to corrupt, the Dwarves' minds are too strong, and maybe one wizard type was able too stave off his attack. Or, it could work with other towers being unaffected instead, those are just what I thought of.

I think it should be like Vez'nan's lighting trap or JT's freeze trap. So we can click the tower to make it go away.

what about a mage spell - a bit like the sheep morph ability - but it turns an enemy into a rebel that attacks other enemies ~ has that been suggested?

That "tree stump" is the new necromancer tower that will be in the sequel.

If you want to get a picture in your signature, you'll need a
direct link to an image uploaded to the internet. Then do:

[img.]direct link[/img]
(without the dot (.), I added it here as the forum
would think I was posting an image otherwise C:)

If you want to get a picture as your avatar, as TheHallMonitors'
evil tree stump ( :lol: ), you should upload an image from your
computer (at the 'avatar' tab at the profile section of the user
control panel), smaller than 120 * 120 pixels and smaller than
a certain file size which can be seen at that tab :D

hey designers of the coolest game ever i was thinking maybe it is to late but maybe you could have a boss mode on kr2 or kr i was just wondering if you guys who are geniuses would know how to make a boss mode i just want to know from the designers nothing against anyone i just want to know what the designers think before people start answering this and they dont even read this post thanks :P :lol:
