Rotten Forest Iron challenge changes patterns ???

Postby Jamuller » Mon Jun 18, 2012 12:32 am

So I have been working on completing this challenge the past week. I decided to change up my strategy a few days ago and use a hero. Then today I decided 'What the heck, let's just throw a whole bunch of barracks out there at the beginning'. So I put out 5 or 6 barracks. Wouldn't you know it, after less then 30 seconds dozens and dozens of husks just start POURING out of the swamp. I kill them with a fire storm, but they just KEEP ON COMING ! What the $#%! ??? By the time they reached the end there must have been a hundred of them, after just playing for only a minute !!! Has anybody else seen this, or can someone explain it ? This is insane !

I believe that, whatever barracks units perish on the field subsequently spawn from that damn swamp. So, if 1 knight dies, 1 husk spawns, etc. Also, any elementals that die will spawn as giant swamp-things.

That is the swamp to blame, CUZ when your soldiers die (including your reinforcements), they just turn into husks coming out of the toxic swamp. And when it comes to the earth golems, they resurrect themselves in the form of the SWAMP THING!!!

I hope this info would help you out :)

that would make sense, however I don't think it is a 1 to 1 ratio. Based on the number of husks you see when you lay out 5 barracks, it looks more like a 6 to 1 ratio. that is for every one of your men that die in battle, at least 6 husks spawn out of the swamp.

This is not true. It really is a 1 to 1 ratio.

Maybe it was just because your soldiers died so fast that u misunderstood the mechanisms of the swamp...
BTW, its definitely a sure thing for the 1 to 1 ratio actually

AND, when you kill a demon dog, they explode and might kill all the soldiers around them... Using lots of barracks in this stage it is not a very good idea :P

 It's tough, (Especially when demon hounds explode on your barracks) but it's possible. If you have iPad like me, i'd suggest a ranged attack hero. I don't know what to do if your playing flash. Mostly because I have a lot of stars. (I beat every storyline level on iron and heroic :D )

Actually one Holy Order is enough to tackle those annoying demon hounds but be aware of that once you decide to build a barrack, you'd better upgrade it into paladin castle ASAP if you don't wanna get yourself into trouble

UNBELIEVABLE.
The husk thing is true (the 'fallen warrior' description should've given it away!). I used just one barracks at the last post, and loads of artillery and purple wizards, and Boom, cruised it!
