Aren't we talking about Heroic Challenge, there's no JT in Heroic.

I'm just trying to see how many levels I can beat with 3 towers only...and honestly, J.T. is decently hard. You should try it!

I'm working on a strategy for level 9, heroic:

I put a musketeer tower on 1, and two sorcerer towers on 2 and 3. I almost got past wave 5 using this method, but one lame stinking rocket rider with almost no hp left slipped through just when I could've sniped him with a sunray! ARGGGGH!

Anyway, you have to fully upgrade the snipe spell on the musketeer, and at least one level on the polymorph and elemental spells for the sorcerer. Polymorphs and snipe take care of the yetis and rocket riders, and the elementals slow down any wolves.

You might have to use Rain of Fire on wave 4, to take care of the winter wolves. Careful not to use it before...

DO NOT UPGRADE THE SUNRAY TOWER TILL WAVE 5. Each upgrade to the sunray will reset the spell. Basically, add a sorcerer, shoot a rocket rider, add sorcerer again. Make those stinking rocket riders use turbo and fly into your main towers. I almost succeeded in passing this one, but I accidentally upgraded the sorcerer tower once before, so it wasn't ready in time...so yeah.

I'm wondering if using an arcane mage would work, but I think losing the elemental wouldn't make up for it...

I like your strategy GoldenRhino, but what about a Big Bertha
at spot 2? Its AOE is great against wulves and rockets works
great against those annoying rocket riders C:

Gonna try it now! Thanks for that suggestion!

EDIT: So I tried this a couple times, I eventually ended up moving the musketeer and sorcerer towers one space to the left. Skipped out on the elementals. Rocket riders died (mwahahahaha!), but then a lone white wolf with almost no hp left slipped through and...yeah. 'sigh'

Well I tried it three times, using GoldenRhino's strategy with a Big Bertha on place 2, and:

Yay :D I used rain of fire a lot more often than you recommended though. I am not sure
if you did the following, but using rain of fire against those rockets riders really comes in handy!

Julian, you are a beast. That level's hard even if you know which towers to use! And I did use rain of fire on the rocket riders...
I don't know if you've experienced this, but sometimes it felt that if the musketeer sniped a wulf instead of a troll champion or something, i would lose the wave...does anyone else have this problem?

By the way, for level 9, you can replace the musketeers with a ranger's hideout
and it will still work :D Two tips: 1. Do not upgrade polymorph until the winter
wulves from wave 4 are past your sorcerer's reach. 2. At wave 5 (rocket riders),
use rain of fire when the two lines of rocket riders come together and start
buying sorcerers and using the sunray tower AFTER that ^^

I've officially given up...but if it's possible, you need an artillery.

Here's an idea: instead of just three towers, how about using 4, but one of each type? [archer, barracks, artillery, mage] That might make it more interesting...and more feasible for all the levels!

I am confident I can at least give wave 6 a try if I just get
all 3 back paladins to stay alive till then :D

One thing: do you think the three tower challenge should specifically mean "only build three towers" or "only have three towers on the map at a time"? Because selling and buying towers could lead to a strategic advantage...

Well I thought about this earlier and decided for myself that it should be 'only build three towers', although this seems quite impossible. So indeed, 'having only three towers on the map at a time' will probably work better.
For completing the holy grail challenge I actually had to sell towers at some point in the game. Normally I never ever sell towers, but finding out actually have to do to complete a challenge is a good thing, as it indeed adds more strategy :D

I was thinking you could have two Ranger towers at the beginning (to take care of the air wave), then transition to two artillery towers and a mage tower. Or maybe even three artillery towers!
