Hello, Generals!

It's Genesis Devlog Friday, and this week we're stepping away from towers and stages to introduce you to one of the heroes you'll be commanding in Kingdom Rush Genesis: Drakkan, the Arcane Dragon.

Long ago, in the city of Arcania, a group of wizards faced a problem. Their city was beautiful, full of knowledge and wonder, but it was also a tempting target. So the wizards did what wizards do best: they overengineered the solution. They poured their finest arcane magic into a colossal statue of stone, shaped it into the form of a dragon, and gave it one simple instruction: if something threatens the city, wake up and deal with it. Otherwise, take a nap. And for a very long time, Drakkan napped.

Centuries went by. Arcania thrived. Nothing came close to triggering the dragon's wake-up conditions, and honestly, the wizards had started to forget he was even there. Then a threat emerged, and somewhere deep inside that giant stone dragon, an ancient arcane circuit finally activated. Drakkan opened his eyes. Something to fight. Finally!

In gameplay, Drakkan is a hero designed for players who like to deal with the tougher problems on the field. His arcane nature makes him especially good against armored and magic-resistant enemies, and he has very unique mechanics we won't get into today but we're excited for you to see.
