One of the things we’ve always loved about this community is that you never hold back. You tell us when something is awesome, and you tell us, very clearly, when something isn’t.

Over the past few months, you’ve shared your thoughts on the individual tower leveling system: when we first revealed it, when you got your hands on it throughout the demo. We’ve read your posts, watched your videos, followed your discussions, and talked directly with many of you.

And after all of that, we’ve come to a simple conclusion: this isn’t the right direction for Kingdom Rush. At the heart of the system was a problem we couldn’t solve the way we wanted to, grinding. No matter how much we tweaked it, balanced it, or reworked it, we couldn’t fully get rid of the feeling that you might need to replay old content just to keep your favorite towers up to speed.

That’s not what Kingdom Rush is about. Kingdom Rush is about strategy, experimentation, and the joy of overcoming impossible odds.

So, we’re making a big change, the individual tower leveling system is gone. Completely.

This reflects the direction we want for the whole franchise from now on.

And yes… we’re changing the UI too. We’ve seen your feedback about the interface as well, and it’s clear that many of you don’t feel like it belongs in Kingdom Rush. So we’re taking another swing at it. The UI is getting a rework to better match the spirit of the series and to make the experience cleaner, clearer, and more Kingdom Rush-y.

Kingdom Rush has always been about bringing players together through great strategy and fun, no matter the platform. Whether you’re playing on PC or mobile, you’re equally important to us and part of the same kingdom. That’s why we work so hard to make sure the game feels right, plays great, and is genuinely fun wherever you choose to defend the realm.

We’re always looking for ways to evolve and improve Kingdom Rush. Sometimes that means trying new ideas. And sometimes it means admitting when an idea didn’t land the way we hoped.

Your honesty helped us realize this faster, and for that, we’re genuinely grateful.

What’s next?
  • The classic global upgrade system will replace the individual tower leveling.
  • The UI is getting a major rework.

These changes take time, but we believe they’re worth it.

Thank you for speaking up. Thank you for caring enough to challenge us. And thank you for helping us make Kingdom Rush a better game.

More details are coming soon and will be shared through our newsletters over the next few weeks.

We’ll be back soon.
